Peter,

Slide your hand down the end of the dash on the driver's side ......

In every passenger car & truck I've encountered, the OBD plug is under the dash above the driver's knee. Sometimes it's near the steering column, sometimes it's near the driver's front door hinge (the latter being the case for our X-Types).

Peter,

No worries regarding the P1111. It is a readiness code telling you the ECM has completed a drive cycle.

Nokiad,

If you do a search on this site you will find a lot of discussion regarding Cat Converters.

Here is one to get you started . . .

+1 to USarmor's good advice to ignore the P1111 code. The post and video below explain why.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...e-p1111-36127/

The error code for a bad catalytic converter, P0420 for Bank 1 firewall side, P0430 for Bank 2 radiator side, can be caused by a faulty oxygen sensor. Try swapping oxygen sensors between Bank 1 and Bank 2, both the upstream and downstream sensors. If the P0420 code clears and is replaced by a P0430 code, the problem is a faulty oxygen sensor, which is much easier and cheaper to replace than a catalytic converter. Here's more info:
