Don't park your Jag on a steep hill when it rains.
I posted previously concerning water on the passenger side foot well when it rains. I pulled off the black cowl under the windshield wipers to look at the pollen filter. I think that the angle of the air intake trough and filter allows the rain to collect and then pour into the cabin. I live on a steep hill in Astoria, Oregon and it rains a lot. I do not seem to have a problem parked on level ground, but when I am parked with the nose pointed down hill on an extreme gradient, I have water problems. I hope this helps others and would like to hear from anyone else who has experienced this to back up my hypothesis.

Thanks for the info....nice to know and as for a fix....I guess if you're parking on a steep hill, keep your nose down so she don't drown....
I thought that was a good one....get it...... keep the nose down.....oh man, I kill myself sometimes...

The Jag goes into the Portland dealership this week while I am away in Hawaii The service manager said that the 02 X-type was known to have the hill rain in the pollen filter problem and was fixed with a rain deflector addon thingamabob doohickey whatchamacalit chootchki. He thought that Jaguar had corrected the problem by the time the 2004s came out. I will let them do their warrenty magic and hopefully have a perfect car when I get back.

Well don't forget the warp core drive additive when they are installing the deflector. If they are in there doing all that work, might as well adjust the titanium steel deflector and drive. Hate to see you get charged for something they could have done now.
