My 05 x type fails to lock passanger rear door automatically. It dont work with key fab neither does it lock when u start driving. But it does unlock when u lock it manually. Is this comon on the x type any suggestions what it can be before I rip the door apart.

Tec, the handle mechanism is known for developing some internal resistance which will lead to the door failing to lock. You will most likely need to remove the door panel and do a once over of the cable that runs between the handle and the lock mechanism and then give the handle a good looking over, cleaning and light oiling. Worst case, you will end up having to get a new interior door handle.

 

Thank went to look at it today and it fixed itself lol
