Default Drive shafts replaced and still noisy!

I have a petrol 2.1l 2002 jaguar which has only 60000k and is on it's second gearbox . The second gearbox was a reconditioned unit apparently about 7 years ago. It was making a horrible rattling noise once the car got up to temperature. It sounded as if the noise was coming from the inner cv joint area but I could not pinpoint which side. I replaced both drive shafts and it was noted that both inner cv joints were well worn. I thought his would solve the problem however the noise is still there. It disappears when the clutch is in though and increase as the engine gets warmer.
I haven't got a scooby what this but it sounds like a rotational noise.
Any help appreciated.

Do you get any vibration? If the noise goes away when the you press the clutch, it could be the clutch or flywheel. Were they changed when you fitted the replacement gearbox?

It does go away when the clutch is depressed. The clutch was replaced at the same time as the gearbox. I'm hoping it was anyway. You know how these things are.
