Default driver door issue

Hey guys so I have a 03 x type. For some reason my door on the driver side is not working correctly. As I go to open the door with my key it doesn't work. It works to lock the doors but not open them. I ordered a new remote as well. The stock one was toast. Any suggestions on what this could be? Thanks for your time

My x type has a problem with the passenger door. it doesn't open after the car moves. you have to turn the car off, press the unlock button from the remote and then open it from outside.(if you pull the lever from inside it doesn't work)

i think the door locking/unlocking mechanism is **** on these cars.

You can turn the auto lock off so your passenger doors won't auto lock.

1. Turn the ignition to the first point but don't start the engine.
2. Lock the doors by pushing in the short chrome lever above the drivers door handle, then pull the lever to unlock the doors. Repeat this sequence twice more.
3. Turn the ignition off and leave it off.
4. Lock the doors by pushing in the short lever by the handle, then pull the lever to unlock the doors. Repeat this sequence twice more.
5. Turn on the ignition again but don't start the engine. A ping should be heard.
6. Lock the door by pushing the lever by the handle, and then pull the lever to unlock the doors. A final double ping should be heard to indicate auto locking is enabled. If you've disabled the feature another ping will be heard when you drive off and exceed 4mph.

Spray WD40 into the lock mechanism. This usually works as a quick fix
