Hi I know I should search for this but can anyone suggest a cure.?
Drivers door wont open or close on the key fob. Works great with the key in the lock but not on the remote. All other locks work fine.
Any suggestions please.

I opened up my original key fob circuit board and it was covered in viscous goo. Took the key apart and cleaned it all and nothing worked. Bought a $10 uncut replacement key on eBay and unsoldered the tactile switches on the original key, then soldered in the 4 new tactile switches from the cheap eBay key to the original key. FOB works like a champ now.

DOOR LOCK
Thanks for the effort but the fob does have a new battery. Also I would suspect the other doors would run to fault if it was a problem on the fob.

I misunderstood your problem, sorry. Too many key questions here lately. Sounds like the actuator in the driver side door isn't getting a signal. The wiring diagram shows the key barrel sends the lock/unlock signal on different pins than the control module so I would suspect a problem in the wires at the actuator connector, pins 1 and 2. The White/Green or Yellow/Black wires. Not sure this is the correct wiring diagram for your car, my electrical guide says "X-Type from VIN E19616".
