Default X350 Drivers door lock problem

Hi, Getting very frustrated with my drivers door lock. Operates fine off the key, locks and unlocks fine from inside, yet i put it into gear and the doors lock then it locks me in. The only way i can unlock after this is by using the fob or pulling the other door handles from inside as you would to normally open the car. I have replaced the inside door handle as the old one had broken previous to this but this fault just hangs around. could the problem be in the door lock mechanism? Ive had it apart a few times and all looks fine but is there any adjustment that needs doing? all the other doors work fine.

I have the exact same fault. If I ever get to the bottom of it I'll let you know.

There is no adjustment

The driver's door lock is different to the others since it has four switches in addition the
microswitch which operates the door.
The passenger has two and the rear none.
These switches are the slider type where a contact wipes a track and these can wear out
until there is no contact.
I can only imagine that this is the root cause hence you could try replacing the lock but it will not be cheap.
NB it's only an educated guess on my part.
