Default Drivers seat

My drivers seat up and down function quit working. When i push on the lever, you can here the motor working but it doesn't move the seat. Forward/backward, and the reclining one works fine, its just the up and down one that's not working. Anyone run into this problem before? What could be the problem and the fix?

Try to see if the spring shafts are still connected to the motor. I had one of the shafts that works the fore and aft movement go south on my X.

Their is a shaft that went from either side of my fore and aft motor under the seat. You can see the motors when you look under the seat. I had to replace a shaft that was like a tightly wound spring.Unfortunatelysomeone managed to stuff a cloth grocery bag under the seat and when they pulled it out it pulled out the spring. I ended up getting a new shaft for the motor instead of finding the one that was lost.

I went that route simply because it was cheaper to do that then replace the whole seat mechanism. You have to pull out the seat and take out the motor and reinsert the shaft took somewhere around 15 minutes for me.
