Drivers seat not moving or heating
My parents have a 2005 X Type VDP edition with heated and memory seats. The drivers side seat is completely dead, no power functions work, and the seat heater doesn't work, and the light on the heater button doesn't light up.
I have the wiring diagrams, and have traced the 3 power wires and ground from the seat connector where it joins the cabin harness, and I have power to that point, as well as ground. All fuses are good. Passengers side works correctly.
Is it likely to be the seat module gone bad? All the functions go through the module. What is part number for that module? It for a car with memory seats.

In order to verify if the problem is in the module you can remove the passenger module and plug it into the drivers seat. If function is restored then the module needs repair.
A quick search for seat module repair will pull up Darrel's contact information. He has done repairs to seat modules for quite awhile and has a great reputation for quality work and reasonable price.

Turned out to be very simple. After spending some quality time with the wiring diagrams and some more thinking I figured it was likely a network communication problem.
I saw that the grey plug on the front of the seat that joins the cabin harness to the seat harness carried the twisted pair CAN network wires, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Success! Everything works as it should now.
