DVD Connection to CDC

I have a DVD player in the boot of my 2004 X Type and at the moment the sound is transmitted via an FM modulator. This is a pretty poor solution and I would like to connect the sound via the CD Changer connection in the boot (I do not have a CD changer).
Anyone got expreience of this and/or details of the pin out connections.

Also has anyone wired up an MP3 player to the stereo as once again I do not like the FM modulator solution for this.

I've wanting to do this for some time now. Is there a way to play a DVD on the stock navigation screen? I've seen it done on an S-Type but never on a X. Is this even possible?

there are kits available online that add another dvd player in the trunk, and display teh pic on the screen.. not sure how the sound works.. buti have seen the kits... not sure who is gonna watch it tho.. it is illegal for fairly good reasons..
there are much cheaper kits available that hang on the headrests if you are looking to entertain kids..

I still say they should just sit still and watch you dive ...

i saw a clarion eq with front aux port. just install it and play your mp3 or ipod. way better than a tape adapter or fm module

below i have some pictures of the EQ i install, the eq has a build in aux to connect your mp3 with rca wires. i have two amps. one for bass and the other one for the factory stereo speakers. it sound much better and i can connect my mp3

I have a tape adapter and actually don't have any troubles with it and it sounds much much better than an FM modulator cd changer (which I also have but rarely use).

Of course I am addicted to Sirius anyway, so I don't use the MP3 either.
