Default Easy question for u all

Just brought a 2008 and was wondering what the drive is to the left of the boot. Got a flap over it.

It is a DVD drive. The Sat Nav depends on the disc to operate the system.

or it is the CD changer unit, both that and the navigation unit are mounted there.

thanks for the info, if there was also a cd changer there would it be obvious there was a cd changer? Anyone got a pick of the cd changer in boot.

I do believe Jaguar discontinued the system. So although you may be able to obtain a disc it will be seriously outdated.
I would not bother, it was never very good anyway.
