Ecm recall 2 yrs later ecm dead along with transmission damage and engine
I purchased a 2003 Jaguar brand New. The car has under 60,000 miles on it. When car was running diagnostic was done all showed miSfire, but service engine light was on. Dealership advised flex fluid in gas tank and drive car it would put light out. Light Never went out 2 months later car stopped but before Jaguar did 2nd diagnosis and showed ecm code. While driving the car shut down will not start can't even open trunk nor lock doors. Electrical system shot. Jaguar states they will replace ECM however they are saying the transmission is shot along with car needing New motor mount. Again car only has under 60,000 miles and has been garage kept since purchased. Is it possible that the ECM .going out could cause this damage?

I believe you may have several items that need attention, but has anyone performed a load-test on the battery. If the battery is failing or weak, the vehicle can log DTCs that often can be cleared and not return once the battery is performing correctly.
I do not understand what 'electrical system shot', nor 'transmission shot' mean. If the engine has a misfiring coil unit(s), the system may place the vehicle in a 'limp' mode to protect the gearbox from damage.
There may be other causes such as a bad ground or moisture finding its way into the control modules.
