Default electrical issue, battery light on

Hello people once again its me, I had a problem with my 2005 3.0 m/t x type about 2 months ago where the alternator wasn't working.

I ended up changing the fuse and it did cure the problem for about 700 miles.

However, the light started coming on but not constantly, only every here and then and by taking out the fuse and placing it back the light would be gone.

Now after 1600 miles of driving the light has been coming on much more oftenly.

In the mornings it doesn't come on but once I leave the place I'm at comes back on and has happened for 2 days.

I removed the (-) cable of the battery while running and it doesn't turn off. When the fuse was blown it turned the car off immediately.

Just for your information I installed some HID's and for 600 miles had no problems. But noticed that when I put my left blinkers on, the dash indicator of the rear fog light would blink too.

I checked while on and the lights on the rear left side go dim when the blinker is on, and they sort of blink too.

Then when I reverse the blinker is on instead of the reverse light but that is only on the left side. When the lights are off I have no issues.

I disconnected the HID kit and still the same problem. Any ideas, all help would be appreciated thanks in advanced!

How old is the battery? With the random electrical issues it could be a weak battery. I had an S-Type where the radio wouldn't turn on when the battery was going out and my VDP would get random Cruise Not Available and DSC Fault until I finally replaced the battery.

Sounds to me like you have a bad ground in the rear lights.
British cars are famous for bad grounding (speaking from experience had a 72 mini that would give one hack of a light show)
also may sound funny but are your fog lights working?

Disconnecting the battery while the engine is running could cause serious damage to the electronics. Don't do that!

What fuse are you referring to?
