I have an X-Type 2006 diesel. The car starts fine when the engine is cold. However when I drive short distance and stop the car (going to a shop for instance), when I come to start it again it takes 3 or 4 times to start. Sometimes there's a loud banging in the engine when I try to start it, other times it just fails to ingnite as if there's no fuel in it.

Has anyone else experienced this?
