error code P1544. Engine coolant heater B - control circuit malfunction
Hi all,
Last few days my Jag has been dropping into limp mode and my glow plug light has been flashing on and off. Ive read the codes and got P1544.
Can anyone please advise me where to start looking to find the issue.
Cheers

Ah mate no, not yet.
I changed the engine coolant temperature sensor. problem went away for a few days and now back on. I also read somewhere it could be the glow plug relay playing up.
I did the stupid thing of taking it to the garage as i have little time on my hands. They said it was injectors which I thought was BS. They were adamant it was, had them done ( £700 ) still problem and code persists.
They've got the car today and I told them to explore the P1544, bloody idiots. Hoping answers can be found and then ill tackle them about the injectors!
Ill keep you updated bud.

The only thing I noticed with my model is that the glow plug light on dash goes out but the power stays constant to plugs until the engine actually fires up so if I left the ignition on then it would burn out the glow plugs so I now know not to leave ignition on as they are way to expensive to replace again. According to Autodata the plugs should only glow for 8 seconds so I guess I have a fault somewhere.
