Default Error Codes and Torque Pro Mode $06 Report

Hello All, My name is Brian and I just got a 2003 Jaguar X Type from my parents (they passed away recently) and it is registering a couple of OBDII codes as well as failing some CID/TID diagnostics. I have an ELM327 scanner and Torque Pro for Android, so if you guys could lend a hand, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am receiving the following OBDII codes:

P0174 - System too lean (Bank 2)
P0037 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
I was also receiving p0420 before changing sensor

I replaced the downstream O2 sensor (had a black connector) that I thought was bank 1, sensor 2, but I could be mistaken. I had to get at ti from underneath the car, and it was in the middle towards the front of the engine. I unplugged the ground battery cable before doing so, and replaced the old sensor with a Denso 234-4798.

After installing, I cleared the codes, and the car drove great for one trip before the P0037 came back followed by the P0174. Also, I noticed the car stops me from accelerating above 3000-3500 RPM by shaking violently, so I assume this is "limp home" mode. It goes away when I clear the codes.

Here is my readout from torque:

Vehicle VIN: SAJEA51D83XD***** (if you need enitre VIN, I can post)
Vehicle Manufacturer: Jaguar
Vehicle Calibration ID: JA2003FJ6MA98b

Unit and scaling information are not supplied with the data from the ECU for this type of vehicle. Consulting the manufacturers service book for this information is recommended.

Welcome to the forum Brian,

Just to eliminate one thing before everyone goes chasing after possible causes on the codes.

Has the vehicle been standing for any length of time? Reason I ask is that Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and a partly drained or failing battery can throw up all kinds of weird faults.

It has not been sitting for any extended period of time. The battery was actually replaced within the past 2 years.

My father drove the car until he passed away in November 2011, and my mother drove it after that until she passed away in June 2013. I have been driving the Jag daily since then and the CEL has been there since at least June (P0037).

The P0174 code came later (about 2-3 weeks ago) and is what limits the car to 3000RPM.
