As for the noise, it's sweet music to my ears....I can't really tell if it's too loud or not....family isn't complaining so it's a good thing...

I've heard that clip off of xp performance but that didn't do much for me! I'll see when an exhaust is in the budget and get the borla. Was there a noticeable power gain i've heard or rather when I was looking at the website before I got the car they said all of those exhausts gave it like 12 or 13hp increase on the pavement. Didn't you buy the borla racer?

Oh yeah does anyone have that back bumper spoiler (ground effect?) I have the backup sensors I was just wondering what I'd do? Probably just drill new holes in that piece eh!?

How much different can they sound when all arden, borla and remus all have the same power gains?

What has sound got to do with power gains? One of the Jag tuning companies over here in the UK do aftermarket exhausts for the XK8/R and they can alter the exhaust sound to your preference without effecting the extra power output.

Sound does not equal power...it's more of the design in the baffles that go into the mufflers. Any company can drill holes, add a baffle/remove a baffle....etc...but what you want is a muffler that is designed to let the hot gases escape quicker, and give a good descent tone.

Simple modifying your old stock muffler will only give you a dissapointing sound.

Just replacing the mufflers with the borla's add an extra 12hp (according to their add)

What I am saying is that they must all have to be similar if not the same exact design to have the same exact power increases. Thus they likely sound the same? They certainly do not cost the same!
