can you get them on higher mileage cars? are they worth the expense?

 

I bought a extended warranty from Continental Warranty. It wasnt cheap, around 3000 dollars. But Its been worth it. I have gotten my AC compressor replaced and the oil pan replaced. And I still have it for another 6 years or 55k miles. Hopefully i wont have to use it, but its there just incase. I have never had to make a claim personally, the mechanic that i take the car to did it all himself. Reviews on the internet for Continental Warranty say otherwise, but i have not had any bad experiences with them yet.
