Extra Lug Nuts and Correct Socket

Extra Lug Nuts and Correct Socket
This morning, on my way into work, I stopped to help an owner of an X-Type with a flat tire. One look at the lug nuts and I told the guy that I felt he would have to have the vehicle towed. Some of the lug nuts were smooth and he did not have the correct socket for the lug nuts. I am guessing that he did not have extra lug nuts. As a friendly reminder to new X-Type owners who have not yet had work on the tires, please get extra lug nuts and the correct socket. This discussion item has come up before and I really felt badly for these young kids. I did manage to remove one of their lug nuts. Have a good day, everyone.

One of the first things I do when I get a new (to me) vehicle home is remove each of the wheels in turn, check the inside of the rims and tyres for damage and refit to the correct torque. Also check the spare and all the toolkit items are present.
Don't want to wait until I get a flat to discover a missing tool or seized wheel nut.
