replaced the water pump tensioner. Pulled the battery. Now both fans kick on soon as the car is started and keep running until I shut it off. No codes. Any ideas???

 

sounds like a problem with your fan control module. These modules go out all the time on these cars which is what leads me to expect this is the problem. I got tired of dealing with this so I hard-wired my fans so I didn't have to deal with replacing this part every year or two. I don't really know why this would be the problem after pulling the battery, but I have a very good hunch that it is the fan control module.
