faulty cd player
hi guys Iv always had problems with my single slot cd player x type I
aways thought it was my burnt cd playing up, not always
working ,but I notice now after the car has been running for
a while, and got warm around the radio head etc the cd just
wont work ,excepts the cd,s but then ejects them ,I cant here the cd trying to read the cd (no audible motor noise) is this a
dry joint or socket or something else maybe.. any ideas.

stupots. from the sounds of things, the laser portion of your radio is fading and the laser is either not transmitting a strong enough light beam to be reflected back to the sensor or the laser is not properly focused. You might be able to find a shop that can get into the radio and adjust the settings for the laser and possibly correct this. But, this is only something that is delaying the inevitable. I have aligned more than my fair share of laser players over the years. Not a hard process, but some do not have any adjustments. So, hard to say what the radio inside of our Jags may have.
