Default Finally have rims on the X

$1200 later and I got some sweet wheels and tiresfrom Wheelmax.com. I'm pretty happy with the look I have with these wheels. I wish they were alittle wider, but oh well. I went with 225/40-18's Now I need to lower it alittle. Too much gap between the tire and wheel well.

Sorry for the picture quality. I'll get some better ones up later if anyone is interested.

They look like their 38+ offset. If thats the case, if you lower it, it WILL rub BAD in the back! You will tear up the inside plastic fender liner.

Also, you want to besure that your back tires don't rub when you have people in the back and take corners.

Good luck with them!

The rims have a 42mm offset. I cant believe they might rub. They dont look anywhere close to rubbing. But thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to take a deeper look into the lowering project.

I have the same tires (brand and size) on my GTI. They are not as sticky as the Pirelli's I had before but feel good.

Another black X with black wheels!! hey 04x, we got another one! With 42mm you'll be fine. thats the 18" OEM offset. he should have no problems, i have 38mm, and many problems.

jees that is about £600. I nearly paid that just for a set of tyres. In fact I am getting a new Jag wheel & tyre and with 4 wheel alignment that comes to nearly £800.

Geez, that car looks AWFULLY beautiful. I don't care what rims you have, you'd never make an X look like that..... j/k!

S-Type forum is always DEAD! 1 or 2 posts a day there. Believe it or not, I'm sure I know more about the X-Type than the S-Type. I could probably do more work on an X too! That's part of being here so much. Seriously, I'm pretty knowledgable in the mechanical area of most cars, and hearing so many peoples problems, and then others describe how to fix them, I've caught on and I'm sure that I could fix most of the nix and nax on the X! I'd say about 90% of my posts are here in the X forum. As a matter of fact, after my wife decided that she didn't want to go from a Jag to a Hyundai, no matter how new it was, we started looking for an X. Nothing we really liked for the money I had. I think we'll end up with an Infiniti G20. I know a guy selling his 02 with 29K miles for about $8K. Beige Leather Seats, Power Everything, Automatic,Wood Trim Interior, and the exterior color is a beautiful Seamist Green. Chrome 18's gotta go, but wifey likes them so who knows. Either way, I love the car and I'm pretty convinced on it. It also comes with the SR20DE which is one of the best engines that Nissan ever made.
