Default Fire hazzard?

Hi All;

I turned on the electric windshield heat this morning for the first time in a very long time (ever? I can't remember) and I detected a strong smell of hot insulation within about 30 seconds. I pulled the fuse to make sure I don't turn it on again until I find the source of the smell. Can anyone tell me where the windshield power connection is at the windshield and/or how you get to it? I always suspect a connection first in things like this, since there wasn't a short, or sufficient excess draw to blow the fuse.

Mr. J. III is an '03 3-litre if that helps.

Thanks

The 03 Electrical guide shows 2 fuses, did you check both?
