Frm X-Type to XJ TDVi to XFaarrrrgggghhhh
Had a great day last Sunday at Eden Golf course near Carlisle driving the new XF range around a predetermined route built into the nav
Took out the 3.0 diesel (240PS) and its quite a torquey car and as quick on paper as my old 3.0 X Type.
Then went out in the 3.0d (275PS) and not really any difference unless foot to the floor all the time.
After a wait it was time for the XFR (in this car someone from the dealer had to sit in the back).
The growl from the 5.0 V8 500 BHP supercharged engine has to be heard.Driving along country lanes certainly gets the adrenaline pumping especially for the poor guy in the back who had wished he hadnt encouraged me so much.Got back to the main road turned right and a few hundered yds ahead was a Suzuki car and beyond that a gap coming towards us.Switched the car into Sports mode and planted my foot.In not much more than the blink of an eye I was right up behind the little car and the gap hadnt even arrived yet so I had ro brake and hard (Ps Good brakes!!!).Gap then arrived so planted foot again and the roar and push in the back is absolutely incredible.I was hoping to find something else like a souped up scooby to put them well and truly in their place.Car raced through the small gap and towards another T Junction to head back along some twisty lanes back to the Golf Course.I was suprised at how comfortable the car is on uneven bumpy lanes!
Now there is a tweaked 603 Bhp version also...as if it was needed?
Now can anyone give me £60000
Pretty please
