Default Front end clunk fixed!!

So when we bought out 04' x-type sport there was a clunk in the front end. I replaced the sway bar end links and that solved about 1/2 of it. I just finished replacing the sway bar bushings and now it's gone. Not too bad of a job overall just glad it wasn't too expensive to fix.

Good I need to do that. Mine has been clunking badly since I put in new springs and struts.

Any words of wisdom for those of us who haven't tackled this one yet?

The sway bar end links are pretty easy to do. Jack up the car and put it on a jack stand. Then place the jack under the control arm and jack it up until it relieves the tension on the end link. It makes it easier to get off. While you have the end link off or disconnected you can undo the bolts holding the bushing mount in place. The use of a gear wrench is a must for the front bolt. Either use a gear wrench with a pivioting end or a short 13mm wrench to get to the rear one. The easiest way to get to the rear one is from underneath the car(supported by a jack stand!!!) From there you can see the bolt. Slide the bracket and bushing towards the end of the bar and install the new bushing. I also undid the tie rod end to make it easier to get to the front bolt. It allows the wrench a larger range of motion.

I have the same clunk in the front.
Not so easy for me though my inner tie rod needs replacing. Just ordered the parts from rockauto figured May as well do the whole tie rod while I am at it.
