Front license plate holder

Front license plate holder
The car I bought has no front license plate.
In NJ I need to have it.
How to mount a license plate in the front of the car?
I looked at the front bumper, did not find any pre-drilled holes.
Short of screwing the plate directly onto the bumper, is there any bracket/holder I could get without resorting to that?
I searched already...and could not find an answer.
Thanks.

check http://www.licenseplates.tv/ website, I've purchased european front plate brackets from there before and have been happy. They may have one for a regular sized plate.

Thank you very much for the detailed information.
I just placed an order with gaudinjaguarparts.com and paid about the same.

My wife registered the X this morning at our local MVD and a shiny front plate has to be in now...

I wonder about these front plates. I know a few people who live in states that "require" them (one is in Illinois), but these guys just ignore it and don't put them on. So far no hassles about it. I'd hate to have to stick one on a sports car. I wonder what the penalty is for just ignoring the front plate.....

The first year I had my car I drove it without a front plate (illegally). Eventually, I decided to give up my life of crime and install the front bracket and plate. My car is black and chrome, so I put some nice chrome frames on the plates. Looks good either way.

Very strict about it here in New York. I bought a out of state car without one and the DMV refused to register or title the vehicle, and the New York State inspection and emissions station also refused to pass the car. Which means even if the DMV missed it I would have had my registration pulled.

Actually, in Nevada, the law is specific...If the car doesn't come from the factory, than you are exempt from having a front plate to display. You MUST carry the plate with you, however, so it can be only on one car. My cat has a front plate--got it in California...but my ALFA didn't have a factory plate holder, and I'll be damned if I will drill into the front. bill # NRS482.275... I CARRY A COPY OF THE BILL, SO IFIi AM STOPPED, I CAN SHOW THE OFFICER. That's all folks...........
