I have an 03 xtype, 2.5 with 130000 miles and the left front wheel bearing seized up solid. No warningWould I be better off looking for a used verticle link. or have the bearing replaced in this one. I assume you have to remove it anyway to press a new one in. Anyone done this yet? Thanks for your help, Al

 

yes, its a press fit bearing, so the spindle needs to come off to replace it.
You may just want to buy a used spindle from ebay $30-60 and hope the bearing is good.
Or just replace the bearing (about $40 advance auto)...took my local shop a long time to get the old bearing out....t'aint easy
