Hello,

My front windscreen has a crack in it about 20-25cm on the passenger side coming from the edge under the wiper blade, I am insured with Admiral and I think the excess I pay for a replacement with Auto Glass will be about £115.

So what my concern is I have the original glass on it, if it is replaced with whatever Auto Glass put on will this matter? Or do I have to get the original one for the car?? will either come with the mount for the rear view mirror?

My apologies, its the first time I am in a position to have a front windscreen either replaced or repaired, thus has anyone here had any experience with what to do if the screen needs to be replaced? what to do etc.?
