Gas Door Won't Open

2003 Jaguar X-Type gas door will not open when I pull the release lever.

Any suggestions before I pry the thing open?

Had a similar problem with mine.... sometimes the spring that pops it open gets bent and it won't release when you pull the lever.

Try having someone pull the release lever up and hold it while you gently pry it open with something non marring to the paint.

If that fails then there could an issue with the cable linkage being detached.
