Hi folks am new to the forum. Have had my 03 x-type 2.5,automatic a whole three days and have managed to disable it already. I am installing a satellite radio and had the gear box shifted into D while removing the factory radio. I then shifted it to part and tried to start the car and get a gearbox failure. This has to be a sensor or something dumb that I have done can anyone help.

I used the forum to diagnose my "cruse control not available yesterday, thanks for that.

 

Gear box problem solved. Once I installed the new radio and put the console back together everything work including the gear ****. Started right up.
