Does anyone know where you can get a good gear knob for a manual X. I know theres one on jaguarxp, but its a little expensive for what it is, and it doesnt really look all that good. Do the X's in Europe have the little chrome thing you have to pull up in order to put the car in reverse? its cos of that function it is difficult to find gear knobs.

 

When browsing ebay for Jaguar accessories, I had come accross a bunch of gear knobs . Hope this helps

plenty for the autos, none for the manual. theres a lot of universal ones, but none that work with the X due to the reverse function.

 

04.....I remember donkeys ago Andersen was looking at this and found a really nice wooden one. Can't remember if his was manual or not though. Check through the early posts n you might find it

I just bought one off ebay for my automatic. It's the chrome & leather "R" shift knob.

Got it for like $50 bucks, not bad.

But sorry 04, but I didn't see any nice one for manuals. Just plain leather or wooden ones w/ the jag emblem on it.

Dunhill, I just got the gear knob via UPS today. I installed it today and it looks sweet! I havent taken any pics yet, but this is how it looks....

damn thats a hot gear shift knob gotti, i want one for my 5 speed too, but havent been able to track down one sexy enough..i wouldnt mind a simple perorated leather one, but cant track one down. 04, let me know if you get ahold of one.

 

If i do ill let you know. Im off to England today, so ill have a look there, hopefully i get more luck then ive had in the US
