Get rid of "limp" mode

Is there any way to get rid of the limp mode with the check engine light on? I don't mind having the light on (especially since we can't fiind what's wrong with it) but can't live with the limp mode. Thank you.

Read the OBDII codes and report back. If you don't have a reader a lot of
auto parts houses will read them for you for free.
