as of today, no one has found a way to do this other than having a dealer do it.

global close is the programmable option to have all windows (including the sunroof) close by pushing the lock button on your key fob for a few seconds.

Anybody new to the forum you can also put your key into the door on drivers side (only one keyhole on my car) and hold towards the back of the car as if you are locking the doors. Hold for about 2-4 seconds and all windows and sunroof close.

Don't everybody go off on one, but my Mondeo (02) 2.0 Tdci Zetec had that feature.
However, if it does work on the fob for the Jag, much better and way cooler.

Jim you are hilarious. By the way if you don't mind me asking how young or old are you? I need to check at the local dealers to see what they will do about global closing. Anybody from Michigan know about what the local dealers say?

Go Aquill,
go get it mate. Its a really cool feature and I suppose quite handy, but lets face it, how many times do you leave your car, lock it up and leave the windows down? Not very often.
However, once you have global closing I am sure there will be certain situations where you'll be around friends, family and or people you want to impress where you'll "FORGET" to close 2 or maybe 3 windows cos it just happens to be a really hot day. Of course as you talk to these people whilst looking at the car and pointing the fob ( the people will of course look at where you're pointing the fob!!!) and the windows will RISE as if by majic. You of course will carry on the conversation as if nothing untoward has happened while they look at you with envious eyes, and or ask what just happened.................COOL
Me personally? I would never do that, so so childish, yeah right?

I think the global close is a great feature. Get out, press one button, all windows and doors lock. I mean c'mon, you're gonna press the lock button anyway. Might as well kill 2 birds with one stone.
