Default going through tires on front

My sons 04 x type is eating tires on the front in a short time. I had a 4 wheel alignment done and new tires put on in december. now the tires are starting to feather again. I was told it was in tolerences for toe in but on the edge of the factory specs. They do not know what to do. It is an 04 6cyl x type. The front end is tight. The tires are expensive. Any ideas? They thought maybe new front springs but I question that. thanks in advance, bob

Have you checked the tire pressure? I had uneven wear because of low pressure (thank to dealers). Even dealerships don't pay too much attention when they set the correct pressure. :/ huh.
If it's not the case check the struts.

mphy98, you may want to check the strut bushing at the top of the strut (where the strut mounts to the wheel well). If you have some play there, that can lead to play in the steering, which then leads to excessive tire wear.

Also, do you find that when you are travelling at about 65 mph, that the steering wheel has a slight wobble back and forth? If so, this is the front tires fighting each other due to the alignment being slightly off. This will lead to excessive wear on the inside edge of the tires.

Just had the same problem. Bushings!!! Previously they just replaced the tires. Didn't get to the main cause.
