I am chrome fan but if you door trim is chromeless from the factory then things may change . As I had in my previous post , chrome looks superbly on dark colors not what examplified above .
BTW, I still don't think it doesn't look that bad at all
I bet the owner to this car above also put tail frames too lol

Every time I park my X-Type Sport next to an X-Type SE, my car always looks better.

Chome = eww on the X. If I didn't get my X with the sport package, I wouldn't have gotten one at all.

 

Yeah! I'm with you spartan thats what I've been saying...thats the one reason I hate s-types is the chrome on them...I didn't know until I got on here that they had s-type sports...than again I didn't want one and didn't research it either! Although I will be getting a s-type r....if not for that car I'd never buy a s-type that is for sure!

BTW I remember seeing that bmw with the chrome a few years ago...I like that concept on a show car although they did have problems with legality as far as accidents that would cause...I like that but don't like added on chrome because 9/10 added on chrome looks stupid!

 

The X-Type "should" be a entry level luxury sport sedan, and it should look that way. When they first debuted, and I saw the model with the 16" wheels and chrome... I was dissapointed. But once I saw the X-Type Sport, I was WOW'd. Body colored molding, 17" wheels with low profile tires, sport suspension yummy...

Anyway, I would have taken all X-types with body colored molding.

 

OH for sure! I didn't really care the color...I prefered other colors over some other ones but as long as it was sport...I wasn't going to buy one without the 3.0 and sport model...I also wanted it to be black with navigation but couldn't find one for less than 20k when I bought mine...although 2 dealers near chicago had 2 of them and they contacted me the day after I handed the check to the dealer for mine saying they'd take what I offered them....I was so ticked off![:@][:@][:@] Oh my I want navigation! Not because I'm bad with directions as I have a really good sense of direction that seems to work everywhere even in Oregon on roads I've never been down...I love the look of the navi sittin in the dash! I'd rather spend 1000 putting the factory in than getting a pioneer avic-d3 i'll eventually end up putting in and getting for about $700 at my dealer cost...

 

You're right. navigation really a useful item and I see your point in here why you want one of them lol
