Like Zero Mostel said in a movie, "A funny thing happened on the way to the forum..."

As I type, the very advertisement that prompted me to write and made me laugh so is on this page:

There is an ad for HYUNDIA here in JaguarForums.com !!!

(Gawd - I just love being a snooty Jag owner sometimes)

this is funny. there aren't many carmakers further from jaguar's prestige than them. the only thing funnier might be if they had ads for the completely unrelated carmaker called Tata from India - producers of the world's cheapest car, the Nano...

...wait a second...

Snooty Jag owner that can't spell Hyundai.........

Sorry, Bruce, I couldn't resist.

Actually, for what you get for the money along with the warranty, they aren't bad cars. It's not like they are still like '86 Excels. Hyundai has come along way.

But you do realize that the maker of the world's cheapest car (Tata from India) owns Jaguar, right?

The irony in poking fun at VW is that they own Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti among others, so the lines are a bit blurred in terms of car industry players. It all comes down to positioning and reputation in the minds of consumers. Because of that, I just make fun of American car companies in general and their designers/engineers.

But you're not so good with "Volkswagen", apparently. Sorry, I couldn't resist getting in on the fun.

ROFL, Disco, you do realize that the X-Type was not only designed and built by Ford, but it was strongly based on a European Ford model, right? You also realize that under Ford's ownership, Jaguar went from among the worst (at least in reputation) to one of the best brands in quality and longevity, right?

I've never been a big Ford fan and have always preferred GM, but that little rant was beyond ridiculous. (Ironically, in spite of being a GM fan, I currently own a Ford—which has proven absolutely impeccable in reliability—and a Ford-built X-Type.)

lol, of course i knew that, but i just dislike there stying, in ther ford brand, theri quality, well order stuff, is someaht questionable, my dad own a 97 f150, tranny blew on it, starter too, and host of steering issues lol, but i guess the 357 though clicks does it justice lol.

Im just not a fan of there styling
