Default Are the hande tweeter wires there even without the speakers?

I have an '03 X-Type that does not have the door handle tweeters. While I wouldn't want to put stock tweeters in, I would like to potentially put aftermarket tweeters in and find salvage door handle trim with the hole for them. That being said, does anyone know if the wiring for the tweeter is still in there, even without the actual option?

It would make sense that they be there, otherwise the factory would have to make multiple loom variants for doors and that would probably be a false economy.
Looks like the tweeter is simply wired in parallel to the door's mid-range. The tweeter assembly probably also has a high pass capacitor incorporated to limit the low/mid-range energy it is being exposed to.

Mark, in the Ford changes in mid-2004, the puddle lights were removed and, I'm fairly sure, the wiring was eliminated as well. Even though the light lenses are there, they are not lights. A really miserly modification.

This is what I was thinking also. That being said, i think the door card would have to be swapped out and not just the handle trim. Not worth all that IMO, I'd rather just aftermarket install them somewhere instead.

In my XJ the tweeter is just embedded within the internal door handle recessed casting.
My x-type is a year earlier but is very basic, so no premium sound.
can only assume they might have done a similar thing in their door handle cups, which might mean you just need the tweeter combined internal door handles.
