Default Hard to start after refueling???

I'm 2004 x type has just recently become very hesitate on starting after refueling. It just wants to try and start but won't so I let off the key and try again then will start up. I must emphasize it's only after putting gas in it only. It starts up just fine anywhere else. I know it sounds strange but it's exactly what it does everytime after refueling. Has anybody ever heard of of had this problem before. Thx for any info you can give me.

Could be your charcoal vapor canister is getting clogged or the associated purge valve is bad, they tend to cause these exact symptoms.

rainbowboy, this might be silly, but try turning the key to the RUN position and let it sit there for about 5 seconds and then turn it the final position to roll the engine over. If the car starts up every time this way, then your fuel pump is starting to go. It just gets weak after it has gotten warm from running when the car is running.

Thx for the advice. Do you know where the purge valve is located? I going to get a new one and install it. Thx for your help.

Hey thermo. Thx for your input however I can run the car for a constant 3 hours and shut it off for 5 minutes or an hour and it starts back up without hesitation. But if I just go around the corner and put gas in it. The car will hesitate and not want to start. This is why I think it's not the fuel pump. Do you think it could be the purge valve as was recommended in a previous post.

rainbowboy, the purge valve is located inside the engine bay between the intake and the brake booster (bolted to the firewall). If you follow the vacuum line coming off of the intake, it will run to the purge valve. The purge valve is mounted to the firewall on some rubber mounts.
