Is a good idea?? or waste money give comment

 

Search the X-Type section there should be lots of dicussion. Seems to me the general concensus was it was a waste of money, but it's been a while

 

I never installed it on the jag, but have on my other car. can't say i liked it...they claim it's a Cold Air intake, but how does cold air get into it when it's sitting in the engine compartment??

I think the Jag has a fairly decent factory setup over the radiator. Cold air is in as you're driving....

I'd leave it alone and save your money for something else.....

 

I also seem to remeber some had excessive CELs as the intake caused the MAF sensor to throw codes that couldn't be corrected.

 

That was caused by the K&N filter....the oil from the filter was causing some problems....but once you reset the computer it went away.
