Default have starting problems with my 2004 X-type 3.0

had it sitting for about a week now not enough time to look more into the problem due to work, car ran fine not problems till one morning when I tried to started it and would not start, it cranks over just fine, it seems like it wants to start but its chocking or something like that, display is giving me PECUS E error and transmition failure, engine light and trany light come on, at first I also had the engine failure display as well, but after I opened the battery box I noticed the ground cable with corrosion on it disconected both cables and cleaned them up, after that the engine failure display went away, anyone ever had this problem or have an idea on what is causing all this pls let me know, car ran perfect till now only 51k miles on it, oh forgot its an AWD type X, don't know if that makes a difference or not. I have no idea what PECUS E stands for and can't figure out why would the display show me trans failure and not start at all, checked the fuel pressure on it its at 48.2 witch I been told its normal.

GSXR, well first off, ALL x-types are AWD. Just so ya know. Second, from what ive seen with these cars is that if the battery isnt puttin out 11 plus amps to the computer it will mess up everything. It will throw random codes and cause problems you are seein. If you have not experienced anything like that prior, then i would guess battery. Pull it out and have it checked.
