That's not my vehicle but sounds the same will try give that ago but that's also new so far I've changed 3 injectors fuel rail pressure sensor and sensor on the pump checked crank shaft and cam shaft had to change dual mass done that on floor my self (fun) not obvious all parts I changed were faulty and tested once replace ... really bugging me haha

Riley, think of things this way, to maintain the idle, there needs to be a feedback loop that affects the amount of fuel reaching the engine which will then either speed up or slow the engine down. It needs to be timed just so. If you have it too fast or too slow, you will see an oscillating idle. When it comes to engines, things do not tend to get faster when it comes to idle. So, you are looking at something that is moving too slow as it relates to idle feedback. Normally this is caused by a joint that has a lot of friction to it and there needs to be an excessive amount of force before the joint will move.
Not being an expert with the diesel engines, I cannot give you detailed information. I understand the principles of operation, but the details always get me.
