Default Headlight adjuster repair... results.

So I tried fixing the adjusters in my headlights. It was quite an in depth process and it was going well until I was putting the headlights back together. For some reason one of the adjusters wouldn't snap into the socket. My hands were all sore and tired and I kept trying to snap it in and finally the headlight housing snapped!! I was so mad!! So I frantically try to find the super glue and try to glue it back together. It kind of works, so I put it back in the oven to seal up the headlights and the superglue starts smoking and fogs up the projector lens!!! So I open back up the headlights and try cleaning the lens with some bleach cleaner. Bad idea! It totally starts wiping away the chrome to the plastic housing! So it looks like crap and the projector is still fogged from the inside!! So I decide I will black out the housing, so I wiped it all down with bleach and it looks pretty cool. Then I removed the projector with a socket and wiped the inside lens clean, and reassembled it all. Put it back in the car, in the dark, and adjusted the beams. Adjusters work now. Can see the road a lot better.

Ok after thinking about it all night I decided to pull the headlights out and apply a generous amount of the strongest JB Weld they make. I feel a lot better about the repair with the JB Weld. The superglue I had applied yesterday seemed brittle like it wouldn't last long, and I figured with the heat from the bulbs, it would only make it worse. So I pulled the headlights out before I had totally reattached everything and regretted it later. I am pretty sure they will be as strong as new now and luckily the housing cover covers the spot, so no one will even know. Also the black headlight housings look pretty sweet. It's kind of subtle but the headlights look a little sportier.
