headlights dim under heavy throttle
Hello, I am having trouble with my 2002 3.0. I drive really fast. When I get on the throttle (Wide Open Throttle) the head lights dim until lift. then they get really bright. do you think this is this a problem with the alternator or a possible positive/negative battery cable problem?

I have the same issue, I was wondering if you ever found out what was causing this?
I was thinking perhaps it might be That the alternator isnt producing enough current of something, maybe an alternator with a higher current rating might sort it.

Worn belt.
Press a bar of soft bar soap (Ivory) against the belt running surface, and then take it out for a spin.
I betchya it fixes the problem.
If it does, replace the belt. Do NOT use the spray-can "belt dressing" goop - it just makes a mess and does not prolong the life of the (already) worn-out belt.
