Default Headliner

All, I have a 2002, 3.0, gas, AT. Looking for source/recommendations for a replacement headliner (Sand-ADX).
local auto upholstery shops are quoting between $600-$800 to re-fabric the headliner. One shop said it’s SUPER difficult to remove headliner, “have to remove the rear glass”. Bypassing that shop for sure. Thanks in advance

RBaczek, I pulled the headliner myself, took it to a shop and for around $200, they put new fabric on it. Sure it took me 6 hours to remove and install, but that was a lot of money saved in labor. The headliner can be removed out the rear doors, just have to C the headliner around the front seats as you lay them all the way back.

Not a problem to remove if you have an estate
Do need to be careful around the pillars when removing the side airbags.
When you go to reinstall, I recommend you install new and thicker insulation in the roof as well. I believe the heat transference from the sun hitting the roof is the primary cause for glue failure on the headliner. The rooftops could have stood to have better/more insulation to reduce the heat transfer. Helps with sound deadening as well.

I paid a local shop $750 to replace the headliner about 2 months ago. Came out beautifully.

Paying up was preferable to spending 8 hours struggling with it myself, and probably breaking some of the fiddly trim bits in the process.
