Thanks for the welcome everyone! Updated my signature per request and continue to scour the forums for information.
Any good ideas on how hard to get headliner out so I can peel and reapply adhesive?

I've moved this question from your Intro thread to X-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
Here's the JTIS section on headliner removal:

XJ8 owners usually have more trouble with headliners than X-Type owners so you may also find useful information in X308 tech forum.

Travis, I removed my headliner from my car. Not as difficult as you might think. Remove the upper console, sun visors (warning, there is a plug on the backside, so, you will need to drop the headliner down some to get to the plug as it is glued in place), and the A-pillars (those next to the windshield.
From there, you can pull off the hooks in the rear seat for hanging a hanger or whatnot. Then remove the rear cabin light. Finally loosen the C pillar plastic so the top is loose.
At this point, you will want to pull the headliner out from behind the B pillars. All that should be holding the headliner in place is the trim around the sunroof. You can either remove this trim or simply pull it back to allow the headliner to slide past it.
With the headliner loose inside the car, you are going to want to lay the passenger front seat all the way back and then roll the headliner into a big C. At this point, you can start pulling it out the rear passenger door. It will take a lot of work and the headliner is going to make a few noises, but all is good. Just don't make any sharp bends in it.
Once you get it out, you can do as you see fit.
Install is the reverse of the removal. One last thing: As you are pulling off the pillars and center console, undo the plugs and leave the wiring harness attached to the headliner. This will make things easier later as all the plugs will fall into where they need to be connected.
