Default Heat blows cold air when stopped

Happy Holidays All -

I have a 04 X-type 3.0 Manual Trans - When I stop at a light, for more than a minute or two my heat will blow cold air (not cool - cold, like AC cold). After driving for a while (30 minutes or so) the heat will remain warm at the stop light, but still drops in temp (which doesn't bother me, as long as it is at least warm air). The temp gauge will read the car is running at normal temp after about 5-10 minutes of continual driving, depending on outside temp - (live in Nebraska). Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly does anyone have ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks

Just found this post and had this exact same problem with my 04 2.5 a couple weeks ago. The problem with mine was low coolant so check and make sure your coolant is topped off and full, solved my problem! If its not low coolant I would say to have the thermostat checked as it could be a problem there. Hope this helps!
