Default Heated Rear Window

My heated rear window does not work, I suspect either the fuse or the relay. Unfortunately, I cannot easily get a look at the relay to find out what the part number is. I can see the relay, but I can't get a good grip on it - so I'd like a spare one before I yank it out

Marvin, first off, welcome to the forums. I think you will find a lot of useful information here. But, we are a quirky bunch and we like to get to know one another. So, please, stop by the "New Member" section and introduce yourself. There you will find out who the movers and shakers are around here. You may even get a little surprise yourself. So, grab yourself a cup of joe, sit back, read some and learn about your kitty.

As for your issue, what year is your car? That will help me look at the diagrams and give you very specific information instead of being wishy washy about what it going on. Then we can get you taken care of in a jiffy.

Thanks "Thermo"

I really should stop by the new member section.

My current problem is with my 2002 X-Type (2.5 Sport). I have got a hold of a few fuse board diagrams. From those, I figure I need F4 (30A Pink Cartridge Fuse) and the Relay in R19, but then I have learned that my '02 is sometimes a little different from the following model years.

Anyhow, having a LHD vehicle, the fuse board inside the car is a little awkward to reach - I took out the little"pocket" panel and tried to reach through, then I tried from below but I struggled to get a good grip on the relay. I cannot read the part number whilst it is in place - other than the Ford logo that appears on all the relays.

So rather than attempt to just yank it, regardless, I figure someone on here must have an idea on the right part number.

All help is appreciated!
