Hi everyone

I have a 2.5l V6 and the engine man light came on over the weekend.

I just took it in to my local garage and they told me that the error code was P1582 with an unknown code of 9582.

I've had a look online but can't seem to find out exactly what this means.

Does anyone have any guidance for me or knows the answer?

I'm trying to avoid going to Jaguar as they just took £1100 off me following an altercation I had with a pot hole.

Please help.

I would question what scantool they are using to show code 9582.

Thank you for this.

None of the 5 things listed has happened and the car is running fine.

They used 2 different machines to read the code as it kept saying unknown code 9582 and that's the bit that's throwing them.
