chrisX, what color is the liquid that is coming out? In short, if it is green or orange, it is antifreeze, if the fluid is red/brownish, it is tranny fluid. If the fluid is kinda clear (may be slightly greenish in color to a darker green-depending on age, it will have a slightly sticky feel too it yet still look clear like water), that is brake fluid. If it is dark brown, then it is oil. The only other option is a clear liquid, but that would be water that has gotten trapped somewhere (possibly your A/C drain pan). If it is dark kinda like oil but has a "fruity" kind of smell to it, then you are looking at differential lube.

I would need to get out and look at my car to see what pan you are talking about. But, that will atleast get you going in the right direction.
