the red light in the exact middle of dash,blinks in xtype,could this possibly be a sensor?......prior issues with bonnet was its latches a garage said replace,and another said they are okay...could it be just new latches to fix the beast?

 

had the same issue with the XJ i was driving last week. turns out it was the sensor issue.
